'I'm scared to go to sleep': Woman regularly wakes up PARALYSED andcan't even scream

Life feels like a bad dream for Kirsty Corbett as she wakes up unable to move because of unusual sleep paralysis condition

"Sometimes, I’m too scared to go to sleep," Kirsty said. "I have to read really late or watch TV hoping I’ll drift off quickly .’ It all started when she was 12 and at a friend’s house for a sleepover.

Un participante del Dakar sufrió hipopotasemia y terminó internado

El piloto ingresó al hospital Rawson de San Juan con numerosos golpes y un malestar general causado por el calor extremo. Se cree que competía en la categoría de motos.


Uno de los participantes del Dakar 2015 que este lunes recorre San Juan, terminó internado en el Hospital Rawson.
Si bien aún no han confirmado su nacionalidad, se supo que el deportista participaría en la categoría de motos y que fue trasladado en helicóptero hasta el Gran San Juan y luego fue llevado en ambulancia al hospital.
Según las primeras informaciones, el hombre presenta algunos golpes no muy graves, pero lo que más complicó su situación sería un cuadro de hipopotasemia.
Esta enfermedad se define como un trastorno en el equilibrio hidroelectrolítico del cuerpo, el cual se caracteriza por un descenso en los niveles del ion potasio (K) en el plasma. Esta patología genera confusión, malestar general, fatiga y dolor muscular, entre otros síntomas.
